About

I'm a seasoned Creative Leader, Art Director, Brand Manager, Graphic Designer, Creative Consultant, Illustrator, and Musician based in the vibrant city of Portland, Oregon.

When serving as the Brand Design Manager for Trimble, a leading global technology company specializing in infrastructure solutions, I brought a unique blend of leadership, art direction, and creativity to the brand. My responsibilities encompassed diverse areas such as brand acquisition, systems thinking, brand stewardship, and people management.

In my role, I actively contributed to marketing and advertising design across various mediums, including web, print, packaging, events, infographics, social media, UX, general branding, and global brand recognition. Hosting large-scale global creative meetings was part of my routine, and I find fulfillment in mentoring and extracting the best work from individuals.

While I excel in managing smaller teams, I'm equally adept at inspiring entire groups.

My collaborative efforts extended to supporting Sales, Product Marketing, Facilities, international offices, and internal design needs. I was committed to ensuring a consistent and compelling brand representation throughout the company.

Interests

Outside the office I work freelance focusing on print and illustration as well as laying down some back beats in the Portland music scene.

When not spending time with my family, I'm behind my drum kit or immersed in a design project; whatever it may be, you’ll find me passionately pursuing my interests.

History

After earning my BA in Graphic Design from Portland State University, I started as a Graphic Designer at The City of Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, focusing on print, branding, event design, and illustration for four years.

In late 2012, I moved to Webtrends, where I joined the in-house Digital Marketing & Creative Team. Recognized for my creative contributions, I was promoted to Senior Graphic Designer in 2015. When the company underwent acquisition in 2017, I ventured into freelance opportunities.

In January 2018, I joined Viewpoint, a construction technology company, as a Senior Graphic Designer and swiftly ascended to the role of Art Director by early 2019.

During Viewpoint's acquisition by Trimble, I played a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth brand transition. Within a brief 1.5 years, I advanced to the corporate team as the Corporate Brand Design Manager, integrating my diverse skills in creativity, systems thinking, leadership, and a profound passion for design.
